The six Leading industries of fine chemicals, electronic information, biological medicine, food & drinks, metal metallurgy & processing and automobiles and parts are keeping expanding. The total industrial production value amounts to 80% of the total in Guangzhou Development District. The industrial agglomeration effect is increasingly obvious. Large producing enterprises: in this District, there are the world-largest chewing gum producer and the world-largest toothpaste producer. The largest air-conditioner compressor production base and the largest circuit board production base and one of the stainless steel production bases and the first export cars production base in China have been established here.
